No Borders Animal Rescue Society (NOBARS) is a non-profit society that relies on the generosity of kind and giving folks to help cover the costs of all our expenses. The majority of our expenses are veterinary care, spay/neuter program, food and shelter for our dogs. Your financial support is essential to help promote our dogs and to help get these grateful animals to healthy situations, so that they can meet their new families.

Donations of $20 or more, are entitled to receive a tax deductible receipt, if the criteria is met. Please provide your legal name and address so that we can send your receipt to you.

COPIED FROM CRA: A donor cannot choose a specific beneficiary for their gift or ask the qualified donee to give the gift to another non-qualified donee. However, a donor can ask that their gift be used in a particular program of the qualified donee as long as there is no benefit to the donor or anyone not at arm’s length to the donor. The qualified donee must be able to use the gif twithin the particular program as it sees fit. If the donor retains control, the donation is no longer considered a gift at law and a receipt cannot be issued
